Buffalo MiniStation 1TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Disk Drive - Black

Quick, smooth and very big!
I was after a 1TB disc to save the home movies of my family (a la mp3 player) and was trawling every review across Amazon. This amazing little piece of kit was what I plumped for and it really is good.

I've managed to put a large number of my edited holiday, christmas and birthday videos onto here as well as a stack of mpeg4 movies and it's now plugged into my Sony 32" in the kitchen.

My TV remote accesses the disc and hey presto up pops a list. Some of the vids are fairly big - 2gb! - but the Buffalo Ministation accesses the data very quickly and they run smoothly.

I'm not a technical wizard so can't talk in terms of download speeds and etc but I can tell you this plays my movies as smoothly as if they were DVDs. I'm staggered by the performance of this little box.

Quite apart from anything else it sits nicely on top of the TV baseplate (with a touch of blutac) and you only know it's there because of the very trendy blue light along the...

Amazingly small with USB 3 connector. Can't believe how good looking and solid feeling this bit of kit is. Haven't used it for large files yet, so no comment on download speeds. Supplied USB3 x USB2 cable is a bit short, but good enough if you're keeping near to your laptop.

Fantastic little drive
Bought this drive to use as a backup/clone of my desktop computer HD. It's small, light, fast, and USB-bus powered. I really couldn't ask for any more! It's superb.
