Trans 500GB StoreJet2.5in

Trans 500GB StoreJet2.5in

Neat design...
I purchased because the manufacture makes a big play on how strong the case is, i.e. drop tested to US military grade standards. In fact, although very well made, the case is plastic and flexes in the middle and is not as strong as my other external HD case made from alloy, which you could stand on! The Storejet software has useful features such as back up for email and data but has confusing 2nd level menus. You can also drag and drop if you don't want to use Storejet. The USB Y adapter leads plug securely into USB ports and run the 500gb HD silently without the need for a separate power supply. In practise if you have a modern PC/Laptop, you only need to use the main USB lead as the second is for power only. I like the neat design and its light compact portability and can highly recommend it, but its a little expensive given the plastic construction.

Transcend is a Godsend
I use an external hard drive to store my thousands of precious photos. After two disastrous experiences with desktop external hard drives, the Transcend is a godsend. Since my Western Digital external hard drive died suddenly after only two years, and the Seagate replacement produced unacceptably loud clicking sounds so I couldn't concentrate on my work, I was in the market for something different.

When I studied reviews for desktop external hard drives nothing stood out for reliability, so I looked at portable devices on Amazon and was immediately attracted by Transcend products. When I looked at reviews for the 500GB StoreJet 2.5 hard drive I was glad to see great reviews for it. I could therefore approach purchasing one with renewed confidence - which I badly needed after my previous experiences.

Right from the start I was impressed. The product was intelligently packaged for protection, neatness and attractiveness. The enclosed literature was absolutely...

I got this portable drive about a month ago. I've been delighted with it.
Firstly, I've had no issues. Secondly, the back up software that comes installed on the drive is very handy. I can pre-select the directories or specific files I want to be backed up. Then I just press the button on the drive itself to back up the files.

Only negative was that the drive came formatted as FAT32 and I'm using it to store some files that exceed 4gb so I had to reformat the drive as NTFS when I got it initially. Aside from that I'm happy with my purchase.

Transcend PCMCIA ATA Adapter for CF Card

Transcend PCMCIA ATA Adapter for CF Card

Transcend Card Adapter & Honda CRV
Bought this adapter to use in my 2008 Honda EX CRV SatNav/Entertainment system so I can play my music collection in the car in the same way as I would with an mp3 player. Having read several negative comments from forums about problems in general with using adapters I was somewhat wary. However this adapter allowed my compact flash card filled with mp3 & wma files to be recognised by my Honda straight away so it is smiles all round. Now to look for some more old compact flash cards I no longer use with my dslr........a use at last.

Good Value Card Adaptor
I bought this adaptor, as have others, for use in a Honda CR-V audio system. The adaptor of choice seemed to be the SanDisk product but this was not easy to find so I went for the Transcend and bought a Transcend CF card to go with it (4GB). It appears to work perfectly with the Honda audio system so I am well pleased with both items. The adaptor seems to be well made and very solid. Let's hope it remains reliable over time - so far so good.

Transcend PCMCIA ATA Adapter for CF Card

Transcend - Card adapter ( CF I ) - PC Card
Does exactly what it is supposed to do with no fuss.

I Installed it in a Dell D630 laptop running Windows XP and it worked straight away.

Used with 2G & 4G Transcend CF cards as well as 4G SanDisk cards.

Plug your CF card into the adapter and the adapter into a PC-Card (PCMCIA) slot and that's all there is too it.

Good product.
